Martina Macpherson is Head of Investment Content at SI Partners Ltd. She founded SI Partners in 2014. SI Partners is an independent consulting firm specializing in strategic Economic, Environmental Social and Governance (E-ESG) research and analytics consulting as well as engagement and education services. Clients include international asset management firms, pension funds, family offices, philanthropists, service providers, FinTech start-ups, charities and academic institutions.  

Martina has held a range of strategic ESG research & engagement, marketing, business and product development roles. From 2015-16, Martina worked as Associate Director, Engagement, at Hermes EOS. From 2010-14, she was Head of Global ESG Research Marketing at MSCI and as part of the leadership team fundamental in shaping the ESG research and ratings landscape worldwide. Before, she was Head of UK Commercial Marketing for Lloyds Private Banking and Senior Product Marketing Specialist at Insight Investment (Lloyds Banking Group/HBOS). Earlier in her career, she worked for RBS AM, F&C and Deutsche Bank.  

Martina is a writer, lecturer and presenter on sustainable investment and corporate governance themes and contributes regularly to industry publications in this field. She is an NED board member at the Global Thinkers Forum, a social-purpose think tank creating international conversations around governance, society and future trends. Martina sits also on the analyst committee board of UKSIF, the UK’ sustainable investment and finance association, and on the development board of Thomas Arneway Trust. The trust is one of the UK’s oldest charities and supports small businesses and social enterprises. 

  

Theodor Cojoianu
Theodor CojoianuHead of Research and Analytics

Theodor Cojoianu is the Head of Research and Analytics, having joined SI Partners in January 2015. Theodor is also a Doctoral Researcher and Smith School Scholar within the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford, where he is pursuing his DPhil in Responsible Investment.

Theodor has experience in the sustainable finance space in both industry and academia. In industry, he was an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and business performance analyst with MSCI ESG Research and an ESG data analyst with Sociovestix Labs. In academia, he worked as a research assistant in sustainable finance and natural capital at the ICMA Centre – Henley Business School, University of Reading, the University of St. Andrews and the University of Edinburgh.

Theodor received both his MSc. in Carbon Finance (Distinction) and MEng. in Electrical Engineering and Management from the University of Edinburgh. His MEng. thesis on environmental impacts of shale gas was awarded the Best European Master Thesis prize in Finance and Sustainability from the French Forum for Responsible Investment and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment in 2014.
